Specialty Linens Policies & Frequently Asked Questions

When Will My Order Arrive?

Every product on our site has an estimated ship time - the number of business days it takes for an item to be processed and prepared for shipment from the warehouse can be 2 to 15 business days depending on the specific item. Each estimated time varies based on many different factors and can depend on item(s) ordered. Some items require a longer time to produce and prepare for shipping.

Receiving Your Order

When you receive your order be sure it is exactly what you ordered and that it fits properly before using or washing, if the item is incorrect please Contact Us for assistance.

Shipping

Most Items will ship within 2 to 15 business days. Holiday seasons, large orders, custom items, special orders and out of stock items may take longer. In addition, please allow 3 to 7 business days from the day your order has been shipped for UPS Ground Deliveries to be delivered once an order has been shipped within the continental United States. Orders that can take longer or have additional freight charges apply to: large orders, items which require oversized boxes, items shipped via U.S. Mail, overseas shipments, Alaska shipments, shipments going to Canada, shipments going to Hawaii and Military addresses. If you have any questions as to whether or not an item will be delayed or have additional freight charges please email us for more information should you require any, otherwise any additional reasonable costs required to ship your order will be automatically charged to your account. Overseas shipping can take 3 to 6 weeks for delivery depending on method of shipping once shipped. Customers who have Items shipped to Canada via UPS or FedEX may incur customs or duty charges by the shipping service within Canada, we are not responsible for any additional fees once an item has entered into Canada. Not all items are available for U.S. Mail shipping. Incorrect addresses will be subject to a $10.00 UPS correction fee. Shipments may require signature for delivery and is at the discretion of the shipper. Items which are shipped outside the continental U.S., or unusually expensive to ship (bulky or heavy items, large quantities etc) as well as orders to APO/FPO addresses will carry an additional shipping charge which may not be shown on your order copy.

Shipping costs and information.

How Will My Order Ship?

We will ship your order using the fastest, safest, and most reliable method possible via UPS, FEDEX or USPS. These companies provide the fastest and most reliable method of shipping available for many items we sell. Depending on how close you are to the shipping warehouse, your item will arrive between 1 and 6 business days (1 to 10 business days for USPS) after it leaves the warehouse.

For small Parcel shipments, delivery usually takes between 1 and 6 business days (except for USPS which ships in 1-10 business days) after your order is shipped from the warehouse. You should remember that the estimated Lead Time still applies before the item ships out.

Placing orders for delivery to Canada

The average delivery times are only for orders that are shipping within the contiguous United States. Most orders shipping to Canada will increase transit time due to customs inspection and further distance from the supplier distribution centers. Please note that we do not currently offer expedited shipping to Canadian addresses. 5 - 7 business days are automatically added to Canadian shipments. Free freight does not apply to shipments shipping to Canada. Additional shipping costs may be charged to customer depending on size of box required for shipping.

Placing orders for delivery to International Destinations

Specialty Linens will ship most products to almost any country in the world. Please Contact Us with your complete shipping location and product you are interested in for shipping times and freight quotes.

Discounts

5% Discount is valid for orders $99.00 USD or more shipping within the continental U.S. Not applicable for U.S. Mail Shipments or with any other discounts offered at time of check out. No discount code is required and discount will be deducted at time of checkout and does not apply to shipping costs. Other offers, discounts, coupons, taxes, duties, shipping & handling do not count toward the $99.00 U.S. total.  You cannot use two discounts at the same time when placing an order, if two discounts are used the lesser of the two will not be applied at time of shipping. Discount promotion and associated terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.

Shipping Status

You may e-mail Specialty Linens for status inquiries. Please provide name of person who placed order, name of person item is shipping to, and brief description of items ordered. Tracking numbers may not be available for all shipments, if an order has been shipped and is past due for delivery, mis-delivered or possibly lost by the shipping company, you may Contact Us to have the package tracked.

Placing Your Order

You can place your order using our secure shopping cart ordering system or by faxing or mailing our order form directly to us, or you can Contact Us for assistance.

Order Acceptance

The receipt of an order number or an email order confirmation does not constitute the acceptance of an order or a confirmation of an offer to sell. Specialtylinens.com reserves the right, without prior notification, to limit the order quantity on any item and/or to refuse service to any customer. Verification of information may be required prior to the acceptance of any order. Prices and availability of products on the Site are subject to change without notice. Errors will be corrected when discovered, and Specialtylinens.com reserves the right to revoke any stated offer and to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions (including after an order has been submitted).

Discount Codes, Promotions

Only one coupon can be used at a time per purchase and cannot be used in conjunction with any other discounts including free freight or 5% Discount offers. If you are using a coupon or multiple coupon codes we will automatically make any necessary adjustments prior to shipping that the system did not calculate correctly and we will offer the highest amount discount or free freight for entire order placed at that time (whichever offer is in the best interest of the customer). First time customer discount code is for first time customers only, discount codes which are used by previous customers will not be honored and the total dollar amount will be corrected prior to shipping.

Returns, Credits, Fees

If you are not satisfied with your item, you can send back the unused and unopened item within 30 days of receipt and we will gladly exchange, credit, or refund the cost of the item minus restocking/return fees. Shipping and handling cannot be reimbursed, if  free shipping was provided then the actual shipping costs will be deducted from your return refund. In addition, items carry a 25% restocking fee which will be deducted from your return should you wish to return them per our return policy (minus s&h and restocking fee if applicable) upon return of item(s) by customer. "This policy does not apply to all items". See "Silk / Satin Bedding" for information on satin items.  All merchandise must be returned within 30 days of receipt in original resaleable condition and not to have been used, washed or damaged in any way unless defective. Items which have been received by the customer after 30 days are subject to the manufactures return policies for that specific item. Some items may not be returnable or may be subject to  a 25% restocking fee, items listed as "Discontinued", "Closeouts" , "Special Order, "Non Returnable, or "Limited Availability" are not returnable.  All Mix n' Match and Inseparable bedding is specially made and non returnable. Re-Stocking fee applies to original product prices posted prior to any coupons or discounts taken at time of checking out. 

Customer is responsible for return of product(s) to correct return address and all returns must be issued a return authorization number which is valid for only 10 days from date issued, items returned by customer without authorization will not be accepted. Returns received after 10 days of issued return authorization number will not be accepted. Returns received used or without original packaging per Specialty Linens policy will not be accepted unless defective. Please e-mail customer service direct prior to return for return address and authorization, returns received without proper authorization or expired authorizations will not be accepted, return authorizations expire after 10 days of being issued. All velvet items, hand crafted quilts, special order bed skirts, special order canopy tops, special order bedspreads, Italian Linens, canvas & vinyl futon bedding, vinyl bean bags-chairs,  and "Special Order" items are non returnable. Sheet sets not defective, feather bedding, fiber beds and Goose Down items are non returnable if removed from the package it was shipped in. Silk, Polyester Bedding and all Satin bedding not defective are non returnable if removed from the package it was shipped in. 

Please Contact Us if you have any questions on which items are non returnable or have a restocking fee, return authorizations will only be issued by Contacting Us. Refunds, replacements or credits are normally issued within 2 to 3 weeks of receipt of return or after inspection of item if required. Upon receipt of any return customer may be charged an additional amount for re-shipping package back to customer if item returned has been used, damaged, washed or is a non-returnable item per Specialty Linens policy.

In your return package please include:

The packing slip.
A note telling us what the problem was.
A note stating whether you would like a credit or an exchange for another item.

Sheepskins - Fiber Beds - Feather Bedding - Goose Down Bedding

Sheepskins, 100% Goose Down bedding, Feather and Fiber bed bedding, all goose and feather filled pillows are returnable within 7 days of receipt only if not removed from the package it was shipped in. Please e-mail for return authorization prior to returning.

Cancellation Policies

Italian Linens order cancellations are not accepted after order has been received by Specialty Linens/Nationwide Sales, Inc. Silk & Satin items may be returned for exchange or refund within 30 days of receipt only if not removed from its package and are in original resalable condition and are not special ordered in size or color. All Bridal Satin items and special order satin items are non-returnable. Bridal Satin sheets and duvet covers are professionally center seamed, Bridal Satin items will wrinkle and can be ironed. Bridal Satin is a sleek woven fiber for that special look and feel one associates with fine satin bedding. It is called Bridal Satin because it is used by many bridal gown manufacturers for this very purpose. Bridal Satin is machine washable. The densely woven satin fabric is both very elegant and machine washable, if treated with proper care, it will last for a long time. Silk & Bridal Satins should be washed by itself on a gentle cycle, cold water setting, please do not, under any circumstances, use hot water, heat is an enemy of Silks & Acetate Bridal Satin for both washing and drying, also, do not use any type of bleach, fabric softer is not necessary, woolite preferred.  When finished washing, promptly remove to avoid unnecessary wrinkles, line-dry, or use a cloths dryer set to "Fluff No Heat". When dry-to-the-touch promptly remove to your bed or loosely roll up for storage, if desired for that fantastic smooth satin look, touch up any stubborn wrinkles on the reverse side with a clean steam iron set to the lowest steam setting recommend by your iron for satin, do not use iron on silk. Dry Clean any of our silk or satin comforters due to their bulk, home machine washing though possible, is not recommend for our comforters. To extend the life of any silk or satin bedding we suggest rotating sheet sets frequently so that one set is not abnormally worn due to continual usage. Specialty Linens and its manufacturers are not responsible for normal wear & tear, abuse, mistreatment, damages due to washing and shredded or worn fabrics in areas of usage.

Special Order Items

All products which are indicated as "Special Order" are NON-RETURNABLE. All bedding that is made to order is non-returnable. Refunds or credits will not be issued on special order or custom made items, if you receive a special order item and it is the wrong color, wrong size, damaged or is defective, the item will be repaired if necessary or  replaced at no cost to you at the discretion of the maker. Some special orders may take 2 to 6 weeks before shipping. Special orders and non returnable items may be charged to customer at time order is placed and prior to shipping. Please e-mail customer service if you have any questions on "Special Order" or non-returnable items, or cancellation policies.

Damages - Exchanges - Replacements - Defects - Claims - Warranties and Disclaimers

All items are warranted for 30 days from date of receipt by customer. Items for exchange must be issued an exchange number and items must be in original resalable condition and not to have been used or washed per Specialty Linens policy, in addition, any freight charges incurred during an exchange are the responsibility of the customer, free shipping promotions are not valid for exchanges. Returnable items which are defective will be issued a full credit if not replaced or exchanged, defective items which are non-returnable will be replaced only. Customer is responsible for return of defective item per Specialty Linens return policies. A full refund will be issued for item deemed defective if replacement is not possible. Items under warranty which are claimed to be defective and items for exchange must be issued a return authorization number and return instructions by Specialty Linens. Wrinkling of fabrics may be common for most 100% cotton, Silk and Bridal Quality Satin materials. Specialty Linens and its manufacturers are not responsible for normal wear & tear, abuse, mistreatment, damages due to washing and shredded or worn fabrics in areas of usage. Cancellations

Cancellations will be accepted prior to shipping of order by Contacting Us.  If an order has already been shipped or was not able to be canceled due to shipping procedures then the customer will be responsible for return of item(s) per Specialty Linens product and/or return policy. All Bridal Satin items and Special Order Satin orders may be subject to a 15% cancellation fee after 5 days of ordering, item may not be cancelled if order is already in production or if shipped. Italian Linens order cancellations are not accepted after order has been received by Specialty Linens. Please e-mail customer service if you have any questions.

Backorders - Product Delays - Out of Stock Items

Backorders are a result of manufacturer delays in producing products to be shipped directly to Specialty Linens or its customers. Specialty Linens may choose to partial ship an item and backorder the remainder of any item ordered and ship that item at a later date at no cost to the customer. It's possible that some items may be temporarily out of stock for as long as 2 to 6 weeks due to color, style, size, manufacturer and mill delays or other unforeseen circumstances. Customers will be notified only if item ordered has been discontinued or is no longer available.

Catalogs - Fabric Swatches

We do not offer printed catalogs. Although we do not offer fabric swatches for most items there are only a few products that we do offer swatches for, those fabrics which we do offer swatches for we cannot guarantee that if a fabric swatch is sent that the swatch received will match an item ordered of the same material. Please e-mail customer service if you have any questions on our product colors.

Product Colors

Although we make every effort to provide true and accurate colors for our products listed on our web site and as a result of individual computers and monitor settings, we cannot guarantee the color(s) viewed on ones monitor will be an exact match to the actual material colors delivered, in addition, we also cannot guarantee that if a fabric swatch or product item is sent that the piece received will match an item ordered of the same material at any other time as dye lots and fabric colors change and may be different from time to time per the manufacturer. Please e-mail customer service if you have any questions on our product colors. 

Product Sizes

All sizes for products advertised are based on information provided by the manufacturer of the item and can vary, sizes indicated throughout the online store are approximate and may vary slightly depending on conditions during manufacturing, production of item, material content or washing. Specialty Linens and its manufacturers are not responsible for shrinkage or variances of product sizes.

Payment

We accept Visa, American Express, Master Card and Discover for credit card payments. Cashier checks, money orders and personal checks are accepted for mail-in orders, personal checks may delay order processing 10 to 14 days to allow for check clearance. Credit and debit cards will be authorized upon receipt of order and charged at time of shipping or if shipment is imminent, also, over sized shipments or shipments that require additional freight at time of shipping will be charged additional to meet actual freight amount above freight quoted at time of placing order. Special orders and non returnable items may be charged to customer at time order is placed and prior to shipping. Some secured credit cards or debit cards may withhold funds upon authorization for a period of time depending on the bank issuer. Should you have any questions please Contact Us.

Secure Shopping - Privacy Statement

For each visitor to our store, our web server does not automatically recognize or capture any information regarding our customers domain or e-mail address. We collect information volunteered by the customer only. We do not sell or make the customers e-mail address, billing or shipping address and telephone number of our customers available to any outside organization.

In the event of any dispute or charged back transaction, such transaction will be investigated by NDCC/AECS.
